Recruitment Process
As a candidate, you will be supported at each step of the recruitment process, outlined below, and receive real-time updates on your candidacy. In an effort to get back to candidates as soon as possible, most interview processes will include some form of the following stages, and you will be prepped before each stage.
Application Review
Your chance to put your best self forward! A recruiter will review your resume for transferable skills against the requirements for the job, as listed in the job description, and relay updates directly to each candidate via email. You should receive initial updates within 3 weeks of applying. Remember, your resume is your first impression when applying for roles.
Recruiter Screen
(if applicable)
The time you get to speak with a recruiter to share more about how your experience relates to the role you’re applying for and talk through compensation expectations. Be sure to come prepared to speak about these topics to make the most of your time. Forming a great relationship with your recruiter can really help during the recruitment process. Please note, if you apply for an analyst or a technology role, you will complete a technical assessment prior to the recruiter screen to ensure you meet the analytical requirements of the role.
First Round
Your opportunity to showcase your transferable skills by working through a real-life scenario of what you may encounter in your daily role here at Wayfair. This gives us an opportunity to understand your thought process, how you work through problems, and how you arrive at decisions.
Final Round
A time to meet with a hiring manager within the department you could be working in. In this stage, we are looking for you to use answer-first communication and walk through specific situations and outcomes from previous work experience, and how it translates to the role you’re applying for.

Learning & Development
Part of kickstarting your career is learning all that you can, growing professionally, and soaking up the company culture. Across Wayfair, we're investing heavily in applied AI, piloting different tools and approaches across design, engineering and product to make everyday work faster and better. This is the story of one of those experiments, and it starts with a chore every product team knows: design QA, the check between "built" and "shipped" where a designer compares the coded screen against the Figma design and flags what drifted. A heading a few pixels too small. A link that picked up the wrong font. Spacing that collapses the moment one more component lands on the page.

At Wayfair, we’re working to create a more circular future by rethinking how we handle packaging materials. This is central to our vision of achieving zero waste across our global operations by 2030. While making significant strides across the board, we are focusing on one of the industry's most persistent environmental challenges: plastic packaging waste.

A/B testing is one of the most important tools for data-driven product development. It allows teams to estimate the causal impact of a product, design or engineering change by randomly assigning customers to control and treatment experiences. At Wayfair, experimentation runs at scale across the product, and our platform Gambit handles millions of assignments every day. The mechanics are intentionally simple: when a customer loads a page where a test is active, they are immediately bucketed into control or treatment. Assignment is fast, consistent and happens at pageview. But assignment at pageview is not the same as exposure to the treatment.
