Bonnie oversees global supply chain communications, which includes sending important updates to our frontline team members and helping site leaders introduce new environmental programs across the network.
Additionally, she helps put key Wayfair sustainability goals into practice by partnering with the corporate sustainability team and recycling program leadership, while supporting facilities teams across the network. Bonnie is passionate about building awareness of Wayfair’s zero-waste programs and creating a more circular future overall.

How does Wayfair's sustainability commitments impact your experience working at Wayfair? Why does it matter to you?
It makes me proud to work for a company that genuinely prioritizes the planet. Keeping recyclable materials out of landfills is important to me because we have a limited amount of land, and they certainly aren’t making more of it. I’m a strong advocate for recycling at home, so seeing Wayfair align with those same environmental values is an added bonus.
How do you contribute to Wayfair's zero waste goal in your role?
My role bridges the operational execution of sustainability with global supply chain communications to build network-wide awareness around our zero-waste programs and goals. We recently refreshed new-hire orientation materials to ensure employees understand the importance of their individual contributions to our sustainability programs from day one. I actively engage with site leaders and frontline recycling leads to gather direct feedback, helping us identify hurdles, refine our tools and programs and support employees as they balance zero-waste goals with customer-focused operations. This empowers employees at all levels to turn our sustainability strategy into everyday habits.
What do you wish people knew about sustainability at Wayfair?
I wish everyone knew the sheer volume of foam and plastic waste generated each day as securely packaged products arrive at our home delivery sites to be prepared for final delivery. Beyond the obvious environmental benefits, recycling these materials creates significant cost savings by reducing waste hauls and using already planned returns routes to transport materials to our recycling hubs, where they are baled and densified. It’s a reminder that caring for the planet is not only the right thing to do, but also smart business.
What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve received, and how has it impacted you?
“How you leave others feeling after an interaction with you is your trademark.”
Whether I’m working with an employee, leader, partner or vendor, I believe every interaction is an opportunity to build trust, strengthen relationships and leave people with a positive impression of the organization and the people representing it. Effective communication isn’t just about the message we deliver; it’s about how that message makes people feel.
Where do you call home and what does “home” mean to you?
“Home” is our house in Florence, Kentucky. To me, home is both a physical place and a mindset — a place to find peace. It’s my favorite place to be, where I can spend time with my favorite people doing the things I enjoy most.
Who is someone who inspires you every day?
I’m constantly inspired by our frontline team members across the network. Watching them show up every day to do the heavy lifting — literally — for our customers, no matter what they may be balancing in their personal lives, is truly admirable. Their dedication motivates me to work hard in my role each day to ensure they have the support and resources they need.
What’s your favorite Wayfair product that you’ve purchased?
My favorite Wayfair product is the first item I ordered: the Laurie 5-Light Chandelier. It’s simple, but I still love it!
