What does ERG leadership mean to you personally, and how has it shaped your experience at Wayfair?
In my role within ERG Leadership, our mission is to foster a sense of community that empowers and unites our workforce, ensuring every Latinx individual feels fully included and celebrated daily at Wayfair.
This opportunity has highlighted Wayfair's genuine dedication to supporting Latinx employees, reinforcing that we belong here and are encouraged to be our authentic selves in the professional environment.
What inspired you to get involved in ERG leadership?
I first got introduced to ERG leadership during an ERG Fair hosted by the Purpose and Inclusion team, and then things really took off when I joined the 2025 Hispanic Heritage Month planning committee.
One of my favorite projects was leading a fireside chat with Boston City Councilwoman Julia Mejia. Hearing her speak, especially as the first Afro-Latina elected to the Boston City Council, about how to take up space in places where we're underrepresented was incredibly inspiring. I’m just really glad I could help bring her voice to the Wayfair office.
How do the ERG communities and events impact Wayfair’s culture?
I truly believe ERG programming empowers community members to fearlessly express and share their culture with allies. By encouraging employees to be their most confident selves, we foster a safe environment where everyone feels free to take risks, ultimately driving more impactful results.
What’s something about your team’s work that you wished more people knew about?
Within the Talent Development team, we manage many behind-the-scenes details that are critical to a successful new hire onboarding experience. For example, if a system integration delay goes unnoticed, a new hire may not be properly entered into Wayfair's systems.
This oversight has the potential to create a poor first-day experience, so our attention to these details helps ensure new hires can hit the ground running from day one.
What’s a small hobby you’ve picked up recently, and what’s inspired it?
I've recently started painting. I'm definitely not a professional, but it's such a great way to de-stress and take a break from my phone.
I’ve been looking for a way to disconnect and tap into my creative side, and this has been a fun outlet for that.
Where do you call home and what does “home” mean to you?
I consider two places home. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and since my family still lives there, I will always consider it home.
However, I also call Boston home because I’ve built a life here on my own. I’ve found my community, discovered new passions and really learned who I am outside of my family. To me, "home" represents a place where you can be your most authentic self, a secure environment that provides the comfort and safety needed to truly explore who you are.
What’s your favorite Wayfair product that you’ve purchased?
I'm obsessed with my
Ninja Air Fryer! My roommate and I use it pretty much every single day.
