What do you enjoy most about working at Wayfair?
I love the amazing diversity and energy we have in Athens, Georgia.
Every day, I get to work alongside people from so many different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, and that’s what makes our workplace so special. You can truly feel the sense of belonging the moment you walk through the doors — everyone is welcomed for who they are and encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work.
Whether we’re celebrating team wins, supporting each other through challenges or just sharing a quick coffee and conversation between calls, there’s always this sense of community and togetherness that makes coming to work something to look forward to.
What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve received, and how has it impacted you?
“Never be afraid to ask questions — you don’t know what you don’t know.”
This simple piece of advice has been a guiding principle in my life, shaping not only how I approach my work but also how I lead, grow and connect with others.
Early in my career, I often hesitated to ask questions, worrying that it might make me seem inexperienced or unprepared. Over time, however, I realized that curiosity is not a weakness — it’s a strength. It demonstrates engagement, a willingness to learn and a commitment to understanding things fully.
As a leader, I strive to create an environment where questions are always welcomed and encouraged. I want my team to feel confident expressing uncertainty, exploring new ideas and seeking clarity without hesitation. I believe that the more questions we ask, the more we grow — not just professionally, but personally as well. Curiosity fuels learning, opens doors to new opportunities and reminds us that growth is a lifelong journey.
Who is someone who inspires you every day?
My mother, Sara, was a constant source of light, strength and compassion. She dedicated her life to being of service to others, whether it was through her work, her friendships or the quiet, selfless ways she showed up for people every single day.
Her influence has shaped everything about who I am, both personally and professionally. She instilled in me the values of kindness, perseverance and integrity, reminding me that success means little if it isn’t built on compassion and honesty.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a marine biologist or, more accurately, a mermaid! I was completely obsessed with anything and everything related to the ocean. I would spend hours reading about sea creatures, imagining what it would be like to swim among dolphins and dreaming of exploring colorful coral reefs.
Although my childhood dream of working underwater didn’t become my career, my love and fascination with the ocean never faded. That sense of curiosity and wonder that started with mermaids continues to inspire me today, reminding me to explore, learn and appreciate the beauty and complexity of the world around us, even if it’s not under the sea.
What’s your favorite Wayfair product that you’ve purchased?
I bought this
Greyden Makeup Vanity Set for my 16-year-old daughter last year, and it has quickly become one of her favorite pieces of furniture in her bedroom.
She absolutely loves all things makeup and skincare, and this vanity gives her the perfect space to organize her collection, experiment with new looks and take care of her skin. The lighted mirror is a game-changer for her daily routine providing bright, even lighting.
