What do you enjoy most about working at Wayfair?
Wayfair is full of incredible people, and I’m lucky to be part of the fantastic team in Galway, Ireland.
My role involves working across many different departments, and my daily unit is small and mighty. We constantly support one another, swapping knowledge and training each other on new processes so we’re ready for anything.
Whether we’re tackling a tricky customs issue or a liquidation collection, we always have each other’s backs as trusted sounding boards.
How does your team stay energized during the busy seasons?
To maintain high performance during peak seasons, we prioritize team energy and well-being. We stay balanced through office yoga and quick-fire daily quizzes that keep morale high.
We also advocate for regular movement breaks, whether it’s a quick walk or a competitive afternoon table tennis match, ensuring we return to our desks re-energized and focused.
Where do you call home and what does “home” mean to you?
Galway is my home, a beautiful region on the west coast of Ireland featuring the ancient mountains of Connemara, the stunning Aran Islands and, across Galway Bay, the rolling limestone hills of the Burren.
To me, home is defined by a sense of safety, warmth and comfort. It is the space I share with my husband, our two children and our two cats.
What’s one fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
In my twenties, I spent a lot of time cycling and completed several memorable trips. These included journeys from Rome to Barcelona, Vienna to Venice and Belgium to Luxembourg, as well as a trip around Mallorca.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
There is nothing I love more than a breathtaking view, whether it’s a mountain range, a hidden lake or a coastal trail. I’m definitely spoiled living in Ireland with Connemara nearby, but my bucket list is still a mile long.
Yosemite, Banff and Machu Picchu are all top contenders, it’s too hard to pick just one. I’ve been lucky enough to visit Yellowstone, and it’s one of those rare places I would return to in a heartbeat.
