What does Pride Month mean to you, both personally and professionally?
Pride Month reminds me how important it is to create environments where people feel comfortable being themselves.

Working in an environment where people feel confident and included allows everyone to do their best work. I think authenticity helps people collaborate better, build stronger relationships and bring different perspectives to the table.

It’s also an opportunity to continue bridging gaps, learn from others and celebrate the value of diverse experiences.

What do initiatives and programs like Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) at Wayfair mean to you?
Through events and conversations with colleagues, ERGs like WayOut create opportunities to connect with people you might not otherwise meet and help foster a stronger sense of community.

Not only do we come together to celebrate and support a community, but it’s also a great chance to meet people across the company and learn about the initiatives they’re working on at Wayfair. Some of the most valuable connections I’ve made professionally started through casual conversations at ERG events.

What’s something you've learned at Wayfair that you’ll carry with you throughout your career?

I’ve learned how important adaptability is in fast-moving environments, especially when owning cross-functional work.

Priorities can shift quickly, and being adaptable helps keep projects moving forward while still reaching the best possible outcome. It’s also taught me the importance of communication and collaboration across teams.

What are you doing when you aren’t working?
I love to travel and experience new cultures and places. My most exciting trip this past year was visiting Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil with my boyfriend. It was such a fun experience to trade a Boston winter for a South American summer.

My favorite kind of travel combines relaxation with new experiences that push me outside my comfort zone and expose me to different perspectives. This summer, I’m hoping to explore more of New England since I’m originally from the West, including trips to Cape Cod, the Berkshires and Maine.

What’s one message you’d share with young LGBTQ+ professionals starting their careers?
Take the time to connect with others and expand your network through opportunities like WayOut.

The relationships you build early in your career can become lasting sources of mentorship, support and collaboration. Be sure to reach out to people, ask questions and help lift each other up along the way.

What’s your favorite Wayfair product that you’ve purchased (please include a link)?
My favorite purchase from Wayfair is the Ebern Design Wicker 3 - Person Modular Patio Conversation Set I gifted my mom for Mother's Day.

Not only is it Wayfair Verified, but it is also "Bandit Verified" — our family dog, Bandit, has officially claimed it as his favorite outdoor lounging spot.
