What project or accomplishment are you most proud of during your time at Wayfair?
One project I’m particularly proud of was when I helped transform an existing system into a more flexible, event-driven platform for Wayfair. I redesigned the processing flow to better handle large volumes of data and improve reliability across multiple services.
This new approach also created a foundation that other teams can now build on for future improvements. It was especially rewarding to see the solution successfully launch in phases and scale smoothly in production without issues.
What do you enjoy most about working at Wayfair?
I love the level of ownership we have over our work and the opportunity to work on interesting technical problems. There’s a strong collaborative culture at Wayfair where people openly share ideas and work together to solve challenges.
I also really value the trust and support from my team and manager, which gives me the confidence to take initiative and grow in my role.
How does your team stay energized during the busy seasons?
Busy seasons can get hectic, but our team stays energized by supporting each other and keeping our communication open. People are always willing to step in, share ideas and help when someone needs it, which makes the workload feel much more manageable.
We also try to keep things light with quick chats and small wins along the way that helps us stay motivated and get through the busy periods together.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
As a child, I wanted to become a mathematician because I loved solving math problems. Later, when I discovered computers, my interest naturally shifted toward technology and software development.
What’s a small hobby you’ve picked up recently, and what’s inspired it?
Outside of work, I’ve recently started experimenting with creating short Instagram reels.
I usually make light content around work, life and everyday moments. It’s been a fun way to explore a bit of creativity outside of work.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
I’d love to visit Mount Kailash. Growing up, I often heard stories about it being the home of Lord Shiva, a principal Hindu deity, which made the place very fascinating to me.
I’d love to experience the spirituality and natural beauty there someday.
