Community Engagement

A Collective Approach to Ending Homelessness

Everyone deserves a place to call home, and at Wayfair, we’re proud to partner with Community Solutions to help make this possible. Through the Built For Zero movement, Community Solutions supports counties and cities across the U.S. to use data-driven systems to radically change how they can work to end homelessness.

As the leader in Home, we recognize that we have a commitment and responsibility to support others who are doing important work to address challenges such as homelessness and housing insecurity. This World Homelessness Day, we’re proud to recognize the work that Community Solutions is doing in partnership with more than 100+ communities across the country to end homelessness. While recognizing that home can mean different things for different people, Wayfair is focused on supporting housing and a sense of home for all through our partnership with Community Solutions.

Community Solutions’ Built for Zero model takes a unique, data-driven approach to supporting local communities to identify every person experiencing homelessness by name and need, in real time. Through this model, leaders of various nonprofit and government agencies are able to come together and work collectively to connect each individual experiencing homelessness with the resources and support they need for their unique situation.

Whether it’s donating in-kind product, educating and engaging our customers to donate to the mission at checkout, or empowering our employees to learn more and volunteer their time to give back, we recognize that it takes bringing everyone to the table to make an impact. As a business, we hope our partnership helps those in immediate need while also extending beyond World Homeless Day or other moments to prove that homelessness is solvable.
