Six New Tastemakers Recognized for Excellence and Innovation in Design By Industry Leaders

Today, Wayfair announced the winners of the 6th annual Wayfair Professional  Tastemaker Awards, recognizing excellence and innovation in commercial and residential design. The six new winners were selected based on the quality, creativity, and ingenuity of their completed projects by this year’s leading industry judges: Hadley Keller, Digital Director of House Beautiful; Nigel Maynard, Editor-in-Chief of Custom Builder Magazine and PRODUCTS; and Galey Alix Gravenstein, Interior Designer and 2020 recipient of the Wayfair Professional Tastemaker Award for Best Commercial Office Design.

“The 2021 Wayfair Professional Tastemaker Award winners are a particularly resilient group of designers and business owners who delivered world-class projects across various industries while managing the uncertainties of last year,” said Margaret Lawrence, Vice President of Wayfair Professional. “We are thrilled with the judge’s selections for this year’s winners and are proud to introduce their projects as the very best of what Wayfair Professional members can accomplish across residential and commercial spaces.”

The 2021 Wayfair Professional Tastemaker Award Winners are as follows:

“From a modern sushi restaurant that used traditional Japanese materials to the stunning residential porch of a ranch in Texas, our Tastemakers’ delivered elevated designs like never before,” continued Lawrence. “Our first-ever Best Use of Outdoor Space went to Wills Design Associates for their alfresco dining project and the Most Cohesive Design with Social Distancing went to the dramatic restoration of a historic library turned restaurant, The Silver Fork.”

The Wayfair Professional Tastemaker Awards first launched in 2015 and has received thousands of submissions for consideration with only 32 designers and firms named as winners, a prestigious group representing the most innovative designs.
